When doctors communicate better, patients get better care. Malae makes sure nothing gets lost between shifts.
Better handovers mean better treatment. Malae keeps the full picture intact.
Malae has completely changed how I approach patient histories. I spend less time worrying about formatting notes and more time actually learning from the patient interaction. It's the tool I wish I had from day one of medical school.
Ward round used to mean staying up late piecing together notes into something presentable. Now I walk in prepared. My consultant actually commented on how organized and great my case presentations have been.
The AI decision support has genuinely made me more confident on the wards. I'm no longer second-guessing myself at 12am over a complicated presentation. I just open Malae.
Personalised to suit medical students, junior/intern doctors and resident doctors across Africa.

Founder & CEO, Malae Tech
Dr. Samantha Ainembabazi, Founder and CEO of Malae Tech, is a Ugandan medical doctor and innovator. Drawing on her own clinical experience, she built an AI-powered clinical companion that streamlines history taking and documentation, connects doctors for peer and consultant consultations, and enables smoother handovers. The result: the right information reaches the right doctor at the right time, and patients get better care.
Beyond Malae Tech, her innovative work across various other projects has also been recognised on regional and global stages, earning Overall Runner-up at the Stanford Healthcare Design Challenge 2025, the FAO Innovation Award 2024, the Prototypes for Humanity Civil Society Award 2024, and Second Runner-up at the AYuTe Africa Challenge 2023.
